I've had two in the past week, and I've played daily. Surely 78 Lux isn't all that high! I've paid more at many totems! What am I doing wrong??? -

I've noticed that it's been very slow going with the totem lately. It's summer so some people who normally play and patron aren't playing. Also a lot of the new players are more interested in other things and don't bother to patron.
You're probably not doing anything wrong, but two pieces of advice I can give are:
1) always tell the person you've patroned how to get to you if they aren't on your friend gate. And avoid telling them to just send you a friend request so they can be on your gate. Some people don't friend strangers and some already have full friend lists.
2) Be careful how you word asking others to patron you. Some people will be turned off if it sounds like an order. For example, I once got a message that said, "I patroned you, patron me!!!!!" I didn't patron them. I usually write something like "I'm on X's friend gate if you want to patron me" or "Please visit my totem if you need loam."
But like I said, it's been slow. I have a fairly active totem and usually get anywhere from 5-10 patrons per week. Last week 1 patron, this week 3, and I think that increase was only because the update caused a lot of people who hadn't played in a while to log in. -

I've reduced my production rate to bring the price down from it's usual 270 lux, so please only take what you need to make patron. I have approx. 1,800 in stock at the time that I'm writing this.
If you leave a friend trail I'll be sure to follow it and patron your totem the next time I'm in-game.
