I already have a link on my FaceBook Page and one new recruit as of yesterday, does that count?

As to the Twitter page, how do I do that, I have a twitter page and need just a little instruction as to how to direct people to sign up!

    Thanks

What a great and creative idea. Good luck to all those who participate. I, like a few others, do not facebook or twitter, but they are great places to get the word out to others. can't wait to see who wins.

    Ditto.

As this is sounding right now.... I don't think the "contest" is fair for everyone playing the game.

Im sorry but I have to agree. Not everyone has or wants anything to do with those sites.I understand the need for advertisement but this is a bit one sided.

I have a facebook account but am hardly ever on there. I don't have twitter and have no need of it.

Is there going to be any other kind of contest or hunt for something to get 30 fauna?

    1. Where do we tell people to go to sign up? Just faunasphere.com?

    2. "Whoever posts the most creative, interesting and effective Twitter or Facebook update..."

How are they going to measure effectiveness? It doesn't say anything about actually recruiting people.

    3. I agree it's not a fair contest. I use Facebook daily, but I honestly don't think any of my friends would be interested. And anyway, I'd be a bit embarrassed to blatantly advertise a game.

That being said, I think it's an interesting concept and shows that BF understand their potential market. This message was edited 1 time. Last update was at 07/02/2009 13:58:03

    Yup! Of course!

Dont forget, its about creativity and such, even if you only have a few people on Facebook/Twitter!

    Bummer!!!!!!!!

Count me out.. Dont twitter or facebook

I agree with several other posts on this thread.... I dont feel this is a very fair contest. Alot of us just dont twitter or facebook, Or are of the older generation who just dont see the reason for it or cant do it.
Others may have had bad experiences with them & dont want to or are not comfortable doing this....
Just my opinoin but one I think alot will agree with....

(Here's hopeing for a contest the rest of us can participate in.....) This message was edited 1 time. Last update was at 07/02/2009 14:00:04

Wouldn't ya know the one time I REALLY REALLY want to get into my facebook account it won't let me in! (Sheesh I had to reset my password again, so waiting for confirmation! UGH!!!)

Hoping I can get on facebook before the deadline...even if I get on after the contest is over it will be fun to share faunasphere with those I know there!

    Huggles to all!

    Great questions Beck!

If people are interested they can sign up by creating an account on www.faunasphere.com (Click on the create an account link on the upper right side.)

We measure effectiveness and creativity based on staff opinion really. Because we know that some people will have well established profiles while others do not we do not want to go purely by #'s.

I completely understand being uncomfortable advertising a game. For what it's worth, sometimes the most effective way of letting people know about a game is simply to express that you enjoy it. It does not have to be a classic advert or such. I understand your reservation however!

I also agree..what about us older players who do not have facebook or twitter and frankly do not want anything to do with either of them?

That leaves quite a few of us out and I really don't think its all that fair a contest.
